Passenger airbag cover material

Anyone know what the passenger airbag cover is really made out of? Is it leather...or pleather?

Just recently installed a new one, and I'm uncertain of what to put on it to prevent future cracking.

Vinyl or similar. Put a UV protectant on it, 303 aerospace or similar interior protectant. Don't leave it in direct sun and heat if at all possible.

I will suggest in case if it does crack again, I found a guy who was willing to re-do it and it cost me about 50 bux, looked brand new and he used genuine leather.
