Cracked Passenger Airbag Cover 1st Gen
I've done 2 now. Sand it down and cover with a carbon fiber wrap. It could potentially obstruct the airbag so good idea to cut light slits in the H pattern. To get a replacement from Mazda its $300 plus cost of new airbag.
I remember years ago a TV commercial that had iron-on repair kits to blend in the textures.
I'd be leery of using a full size iron on a dash panel with an airbag, but this kit has a 'mini heating tool'.
Might be worth it.
Just let us know if blows up the airbag.

I got the dash crack after getting the airbag recall done (thanks Mazda).
While it was still a hairline problem, I attempted repaired using Plastex, which is a powdered plastic with an activator solution. I got everything to seal but the seam being still visible, I tried to even the surface with coats of primer and dash texture.
The textured finish never looked even (bad spray technique), so I sanded off the texture, and applied dashboard flocking.
The end result obviously doesn't look stock but is acceptable.

Idk if you found it yet, but here's a link that might help.
