parts catalog/parts numbers

Does anyone know where I can find a mazda parts catalog, parts numbers for the rx8, or how about a converter muffler gasket or converter muffler stud part numbers? haha...

if anyone could compile a good list of common parts numbers for the 8 it would make a great sticky.

and here's another rebuttal to your naggy comment:

downloading service and shop manuals is illegal. it's like pirating music. it's copyrighted material you have to pay for. i don't feel like breaking the law and also all of the links to service materials are broken.

parts numbers are not copyrighted and someone's gotta have a service manual they paid for that can help us all out.

thanks.

i suppose yours are seized like mine were?
the part number for the stud is B31R-40-584. the part number for the nut is 9991-61-000.
you might also get lucky and go to your dealer. talk to the service manager and ask if they are replacing a cat on any RX8's. they usually use new studs. ask them if you can have the old ones if they are not seized. thats what i did and they gave me one for free.
you can order the gaskets from Rosenthal Mazda. they have both the converter and tail pipe gaskets. i highly recommend them.

for some reason I just can't find copyright information anywhere on the pdf itself.

You can even get them for free on Mazdamotorsports site, listing everything.

Uhh huh. I guess u are not that level yet ?

and I just did a search, and I found bunch of links to the parts file.

oh well, try harder next time. n00b.

tell me why you have to pay to even SEE or look at the PDF file that the OFFICIAL mazda technical site publishes for a 24 hr subscription? i seriously think that material is protected if you have to shell out 200 dollars for a paper pub and pay to see online pdfs from mazda's tech site.

in the first place i was asking for specific part numbers, so i don't see why you're so butt hurt about that.

and the noob comment is classy. thanks for that. sorry i don't have the time to spend that much time accumulating over 3000 posts a year.

i don't get why people get so hostile on forums and their hostility level is almost always directly proportional to their post count. sheesh.

So tell me, what sup with that ?

i did a parts, parts catalog search and found a bunch of crap i didn' t think i should use. when i did the service manual search like you suggested i found a lot of crap i didn't think i should use.

also... i feel my title is pretty damn descriptive. you can clearly see what it's all about before you click it and open it up. so the fact that you did and decided to tell me i'm a noob and not help me out in a productive manner is actually all your fault. so what i don't get is why you have to take the frustration you caused yourself out on me?

yup you're right. you did.

and i still think some dedicated individual should compile a post of COMMON part numbers. commonly replaced ones like gaskets, filters, bulbs, faulty items (like taillight gaskets) and what not. could be helpful.
