Parking light install

Just bought the Xenon HID replacement bulbs for the parking lights to get rid of the stock yellowish color. Didn't read through ALL of the threads so this may have been answered already, but do I need to take off the bumper to get to those lights or can I do it without taking too much apart? Any help would be great.

I was wondering this too. The parking light on my drivers side is out but I'm not sure the best way to get at it.

I also had the passenger side fog light out, buy I found the DIY for that and it worked great.

Parking light I can't seem to find anything specific on here. It looks like it is accessible from the top but I'm not sure. I'm wondering if you can remove the fuse box to get at it?

no, you remove the inner fender well liner about half way. Then its one screw to loosen the parking light. Then carefully just pull it out. You don't have to remove anything except 6 plastic rivets, and one screw. The rest will fall into place.

I recently changed my parking lights as well. I did not have to remove the bumper or the fender linings. The drivers side is relatively easy to change but it's still a tight squeeze to get your hand in there. The passenger side is even tighter but I used long needle nose pliers to turn the bulb socket and pull it out.

I thought he was talking about the side marker parking lights, if he is talking about the inside corner markers then I was unable to fit my hand in there to pull those. I had to take the air box out and then take the ECU apart in order to reach them.

Skinny hands or long needle nose pliers will do the trick. If you don't have either handy, you can pull the air box, and ECU cover to get to it.

You need to learn how to search. https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...parking+lights

Things to remember while replacing these bulbs.

1. Make sure the bulb fits in the socket tight.
If not use a little electrical tape to hold it in. One wrap around will be fine, because if you use to much it will not fit back in the headlight housing.

2. Turn on your lights and make sure the bulb work before re-installing it.
