Overhaul engine RX8

I'm looking for the cheapest way to overhaul the engine of my RX8-2004. I heard about exchanging motors. Sending my old one and receiving an overhauld one. Who knows more about this???

Take a look at this: RX8 Live!

See anything odd? Perhaps that you were making the same thread in multiple subforums?

just get a reman from the dealer.

$2k plus core, core charge you will obviously get back.

problem is most rebuilds will never match the minimal wear you will get with the mazda remans or the price for all the parts involved that you get with them. don't let any rebuilder tell you otherwise. only difference is some rebuilders may pay closer attention to a rebuild than the mazda reman techs will, and of course you won't be able to do porting, but you won't gain squat porting these engines anyways.

some dealers i have heard are raping their customers, $2k is still standard pricing for a renesis remanufactured series 1 6 port engine. if you are paying close to $3k then the markup for your particular dealer is steeper than others.
