One rotor clean, one dirty. Why?

When I pulled out my rotors, the rear rotor was relatively clean, and the front rotor was pretty much completely encrusted in carbon. I'm just curious how that could happen. The rotor that was clean was in the housing that had the broken seal, letting coolant into the housing. But why would a dribble of coolant cause that rotor to be clean?

Steam is a fairly powerful cleaner.

water treatments work for cleaning out carbon

you know you could have used Kseal to seal that coolant leak if it were very small.

Man, does Kseal pay you, lol?
I might work, but once a seal is compromised, I wouldn't trust an additive as a long-term solution. It'll get you home, but you will need a proper fix in 1-5-10 thousand miles.

Yeah, I'm beginning to think lookatme is on the payroll of both K Seal and Mazda Zoom Zoom (neither of which are good for much).

haha, I put some in my engine and it has worked like a charm. I know a lot of people have issues with a little coolant leak and I am just trying to help them out. I didn't know about the stuff till I tried it. crazy how well it works.

I have been part of probably 5 rebuilds for rotaries, but having to open an engine up for a small leak is blah.
