I probably live in a colder environment than any of you...OP take it from a Canadian boy:

Fill up fuel tank completely
add fuel stabilizer
Park car on a few layers of cardboard
fill up tank with a Jerry can after you park it until it is just about to overflow
Disconnect battery

I leave my car parked for about 5 months of the year and never ever start it until it is ready to be started for the non-winter months again. Winter Temperatures here are anywhere between -25c to -50c (not sure what that is in Farenheit but it's F'n cold). Havent had a problem doing this before; car is stored in a garage.
