Ceez:

The thread in the DIY forum is a dead link.

I got ideas on where to place my by looking at the engine bay photos of people that have catch cans installed. Some locals installed one this past weekend by the brake master cylinder so they didn't have to drill any new holes.

In terms of illustrations on How to do it... Its pretty simple. Just plug your line from the oil filler into the catch can and either run the out bound hose back into the intake (or you can cap it) OR, if you have an '06 or newer. Run it back to the maintenance ports.

I'm going to cap my intake when I install mine. Maybe I'll take photos and make the DIY thread.

Just look around some on here and you'll get some better ideas as to what people have done with their catch cans.

yep, pretty universal install on all cars.. only thing different is mounting location and where you route the return hose too.

I believe there are two DIY's for this in that section.

Also...... just put a filter on the oil filler neck and cap off the air intake.

As opposed to other types of catch cans?

Just trying to help; not everyone is comfortable with the search engine. Hopefully someone will have better link for you, but the list I pulled up from search had some pics; you can see which threads have attachments... good luck!

Took me 5 minutes:

https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...59&postcount=3

Search for "catch can install" using titles only under the advanced search options and you will find all the info you need.
