they actually do, It's for noise controlling.

someone removed it before u, probably thought it's cool. I mean it's a almost free mod but it doesn't do **** other than increasing the noise level.

they are rated at 250 bp because their rating system is different than SAE. not because they have some unknown secret.

ok then i apologize for my noobness,

the japs use PS not BHP, but 250PS, which the jdm 8 is rated at is converted to 247HP,

I dont understand how a horsepower isnt a horsepower but i'll take your word on it.

I don't even have the stock intake anymore anyway lol

You will get used to it Slidin - these guys have been around a long time . Wild hp claims get jumped on around here pretty quickly because it's pretty well established how much power an NA 8 makes . And whatever country you are in ... it's the same.
If you search back in old threads you will find a boat load of discussion on this topic - including thoughts of suing Mazda for the hp we didn't get .

when you convert the numbers directly, yes it's 247 hp

buttttt , again, the way they "rate" the systems are different, at least in the US, they are rated 232 hp. it doesn't matter if they rate it at whatever 250ps or 2500 ps in Japan. IN the US, they are rated at 232 hp, and that's the closest thing to reality.
