I also have a simular problem when changing 1st-2nd or 2nd-1st its totaly smooth but I can hear a faint meshing sound also. Maybe this is normal as so many of us have it? Also maybe it is more "audiable" than other cars, isnt the gearbox positioned behind the front axle?? and the big tunnel going through the car maybe not offering much sound proofing? just a thought. who knows, im a Noob lol

 

I've been experiencing the exact same thing for the last 2000 kilometers (16k total on car). Primarily only going from 2nd to third, and only at certain RPM... Dealership didn't believe me so I had a tech at the dealership take it for a drive with me in the car and it shifted like butter for him

It's really hit and miss, and kind of feels notchy or meshy when shifting and makes a noise, basicaly you can hear it engage, whereas all other gears are silent. I switched to Royal Purple, but nada, same thing.
