Wondering if I should even bother taking it in to the dealership...

Does your cabin fan make a audible noise--when you turn the fan to 1 or 2, can you hear the motor "clicking"? It seems to be getting louder...

Also, there's a horrible rattle coming from left of the cluster. Seems that the top half and the bottom half of the dash are not fit well/tightened. Any advice on how to rid the rattle? Mazda has tried to tighten the nuts around the vent.

I hear the click from time to time when the AC unit cycles.

Rattles are really tough to get your dealership to fix. (not high on their priority list) you sure it's not your horn / steering wheel? There's a TSB for that.

I'm positive it's not my horn/steering wheel. It's coming from where the DSC button and dimmer switch is located. It's driving me INSANE!!!

My fan doesn't seem to make any noise other than blowing air. Search for "Rattle Hunt" on the forums. I know there was a thread about various RX-8 rattles and how to quiet them.

I looked in the "Rattle Hunt" thread--did not find one that discussed the area left of the cluster.
