No power after 6k rpm

I was driving on the freeway the other day and I gunned it in 4th gear. Once my car hit 6k it started to bogg out.
My wife used my car and said she didn't know what type of gas she put but does anyone have any info.

I guess it could be the gas because the car is not doing it anymore.

Wow.....just wow! CEL is your check engine light! Do you have a manual for this car? Read it, learn it, live it. (Then you can learn enough to ignore a few things........ha ha)

Anyway..............it could have been the gas, or it could be bad plug(s), wires, coils, or a host of other things. Ray was asking if your Check Engine light was on or blinking, if it was, then the next step would be to go get the code read and it would help us tell what's wrong.

CEL was not blinking

Don't ever let the spouse drive the car.

I can't believe she put 87.
