Question No light flash when alarm armed

Recently, I've noticed that the lights won't flash when the security system is armed. I think this has been happening for about 2 weeks now. The horn will still honk when I press the arm button the second time, but I won't get the light flash when I press it once. Anyone else seen this?

I'm going in for my 5K oil change and recall items on Tuesday. I'll mention it to them then. Anyhting I can check before?

Thanks

Check your trunk. Several members have gone a while with the same symptom before discovering it was open. This is exactly the response you get from the system.

If not, the dealer can (hopefully) take care of it for you on Tuesday.

Yep, that'll be the problem. This comes up every few months.

If not the trunk, it could be the hood. Not likely that the hood is open, but on mine, the mechanic said some grease got on the sensor that tells if the hood was closed, and that gave the same resulting no flash when arming the alarm.
