The RX8 never came with a redline or shift light. It should be possible to fab one, however I have never had the cluster out to figure out how to do it.
No, my 2006 rx8 shinka does a shift light when I hit the red line. it's in the middle of the rpm tachometer.
No BEEP? What do you mean no beep?!? There has to be a beep! If there's no beep, then maybe there's no spoon!
Oh the agony, the horror! If I woke up tomorrow and there was no beep I would have nothing to live for anymore. I might as well impale myself with my dipstick.
I doesn't get the beep after 8500 rpm, or seatbelt and lights cautionary.
I tested the cluster by selftest #14, but nothing.
Finally I find the problem, somebody destroyed my buzzer in the cluster.
