I bought a 2005 RX-8 GT 6 speed yesterday. While driving it home in a blizzard I learned the 8 hates snow. I also noticed my headlights pointed almost straight down making it difficult to see more than 15ft in front of me. Im not sure if I have HID or normal lights. My question is, do all GT models come with HID? How do I find out if my cd player is a single disc or 6 disc player?

Agreed. My 8 LOVES the snow. Hates the salt, but snow? That's nothing but a complete blast.
Just gotta be on the right rubber.
Don't go racing on all seasons.
Don't go snow driving on summers.
It's an easy concept.

Best thing you can do is get a cheap set of second wheels (plentiful in the FS sections)
have a dedicated summer tire set and snow tire set and you are well......set
Check your glove box and see if you have a the ipod adapter.

Didn't see an ipod adapter, wish I did.
Its been a week of owning it and it has been alot of fun. i catch myself going 70 when it feels like I'm only going 50. Only found two things that need addressed on the car. #1 headlights adjusted. #2 get moisture out of rear passenger taillight.

The headlights have a leveler, which is controlled by a sensor at one of the rear wheels. Both lights pointing down could be from a problem with that, rather than just being out of aim. Try searching this site for "headlight leveler".

The MIL for the leveler is not on so I believe they are functioning correctly. My 8 only has 33K on it so I wouldn't think the MIL would be burned out.
