Anyone knows if it's possible for the navigation DVD-ROM to play DVD Video ROM? I have tried but the display is all in Japaneese and I don't understand a thing.

 

I think i remember reading a way to get it to work, but cant remember for sure. you must search.

there is no way to do it. The navigation dvd player uses dvd disks but has no dvd decoder, so there would never be a chance for it to work. The only way to play dvd's with the navi is to get an external dvd player that you then link into the video output for the flip up screen. You should be able to get something for about $300 (just for the video), then you'll need to get a dvd player to link up to it.
