my dealer will have my car for a week
My dealer service department gave me to options The first option is they have to replace my evap unit. They also told me they have to take the rear apart (wheels, axle, differential, and other components they said I wont have my car for at least a week. Second option wait for the ECU upgrade and hope it fixes the engine light. So what do u think I should do wait for The upgrade which will take a month or so. or not to have a car for 1 week while it gets fixed.

I musta missed something. What's wrong with ur car? If it's that messed up and they're tearing it down, just return the darn car (do you have that option due to the reduced hp thing?) then get a new RX-8.
1. You'll get a brand new car with zero miles vice whatever miles you've got now.
2. Whatever problem you're currently suffering presumably your new car won't have.
3. Whatever the repair techs plan on doing to your car, keep in mind this will be the first time they've ever done it on an 8. You're a guinea pig! who know if it'll be right after they reassemble everyting, and in another week you forego your option for returning the car.
It's worth thinking about anyway. Good luck!

Yeah, having them tear down the whole rear end sounds pretty excessive.
Once it's apart, it will probably never go back together properly again.
So what exactly is the problem? Did you get a CEL and throw a code?
If that's the case, demand the code(s) and post it up here asap.

Because of the system, you are NEVER supposed to top off the tank on any modern vehicle (70's and newer). Fill until the handles kicks off, then place fuel hose back in the bracket, and place the fuel filler cap carefully back on.
and where do you find FULL SERVICE filling satations anymore?
