My coils failed finally after 6 years!
my car have oem coils since 04, i bought it 2 years ago and i dont think previous qwner change them , so 6 years too here with oem coils no misfires so far with 50000 miles on them but i did change the plugs and cables one year ago
So the new Mounting Bracket does not expose the coils to the engine heat from below but allows for some air flow under the coils through this channel or groove.
I have a spare bracket coming from the US, and will post a pic if you want to see it...

Regarding the 3 P/N. I guess there is the original P/N (no suffix), as per the original specs. Then the -A suffix is the later cost reduction exercice. Then finaly the -B suffix to quickly replace the crappy cost reduced part. I worked for Ford before (Engine Performance and Economy), so I've seenhow they do things.
