MSP16 recall question

I have an 07 which was produced between April 10, 2003 through November 9, 2007, but the vehicles VIN# does not fall within the 40100053 - 80215462 range, i think my vin starts with 39. so i guess this does not apply to me? It seems odd that mazda would give different flashes to 8s produced around the same time frame

Are you in the US or Canada? What was the build date printed on the door post sticker? If the car was built during the period in question, I would expect the VIN to be within that range.

As far as different PCM updates goe, that is standard procedure depending on the region the car is located in and whether or not it is an AT or MT.

I dont have my origional door and i didnt think to tell the bodyshop to retain the sticker on the door post (i had owned the car for a whole 8hrs before I got bashed by an A hole in a large pickup) when my dooe was replaced. I had purchased it in July 07 so i know it was produced before November 07. I looked on the corprate website and it said there were no recalls open for my vehicle
