i bought a new engine for my 8 but it came out of a automatic 8. I have a 6 speed. Im just wanting to make sure if i can change the engines out. Anybody know?

 

You want to swap an auto with a 6speed?

You do not need to swap the transmissions.

 

If it a 6 port, he can definitely throw it in there. It's only a short block most likely.

wait...I'm confused
the engine you just got from the AT 8...what year 8 did it come out of?

04 and 05 had a 4 port AT
06 and up had the 6 port like your MT engine

Its a 04 high power in the car i belive that has a 6 speed on it. and a 05 standard power in my garage that had a auto on it. can i trade them out? will it work with the same computer? i have to change flywheels right?
