Most probably a bad engine, what do you think?

So I brought my car (2004 rx8 MT ) at the stealership today and asked for a compression test. I have maintained the car above standards with oil changes every 3000km with castrol gtx 5w30. Flushed coolant, tranny and differential oil changes. Once a year I change plugs coils and wires. I drive about 16k miles a year. I have the upgraded starter and a new CAT since 2008. I redline my car once a day. I had a straight pipe for a while and the problems were still there. I put back the original cat a few weeks ago to bring it to the dealer. I got the codes from the car I had:

-Rear O2 sensor
-Misfire cylinder 2
-Vacuum leak

So the problems ive been having were loss of power when hot. Ive had numerous warm start issues. For example, when I stop to fill gas, it seems hard for the car to start. If Im driving on the highway at a constant speed then the car just starts to lose power and slows down I give it gas but it struggles to go faster. When the temperature outside gets really hot and humid, forget it the car barely goes up the hill. Add a passenger in the car with the A/C on and the car starts vibrating at traffic signals. The other day it switched off twice on me. It took about 6 seconds of cranking time to get it started again, it seemed painful. I sometimes hear rattles or like "marbles in a can" as some people here call it when i gun it.

I dropped off the car this morning and I still havent heard from them and they are about to close. Either really bad service or big troubles! lol

If ever you guys feel like commenting, giving your expert opinion please feel free. I think my engine is shot personnally. It could be the fuel pump since it only happens when the engine is hot but then I wouldnt get misfires.

cheers!

Well that was easy, new engine is coming under my extended warranty. Not on the original mazda warranty. When I bought the car I knew it was a good thing to take the extended warranty for 2000$!

Now they are waiting on the inspector approval. The guy told me that he will probably ask for maintenance records. No problem there I kept everything.

Ill keep you guys updated on the developments to make it an easier process for everybody who might be needing a new engine in the future.

cheers
