hi, ive seen a few threads about putting ls1's into the 8 but i was wondering if anyone has ever put a 1j or 2j into an 8 nd actually got it running, nd how much work was needed to get it in there and such.

Oh yea reason why you haven't found any successful swap threads is because: most people haven't been very successful with these projects everyone is looking to go fast for low cash which is impossible unless you want N20 that's pay as you go speed, other then that a swap of any other engine will be well over $5,000 dollars unless you got the hook-up and are mechanic, welder, engineer, and mad scientist.

Just $5k? Lol. I've built a lot of cars in my years and I'd say set your starting budget at $10k and plan accordingly for extras. And, as anyone who has ever built anything will tell you, by "plan accordingly for extras", I mean double whatever you thought you were going to set your budget at to start.
If you're not prepared for that, you'll fail.
I'm not even going to go into the chances of your success if you have to come on to an Internet forum and ask "can this be done"? Lol
