I'm not misunderstanding a thing.

This forum has tended to frown on low compression, imo, because it is not an option so therefore easy to justify why it is not needed. But that has zero to do with it being an integral part of FI builds whether we're talking about OEMs, or accomplished engine builders both within and outside this community. Bottom line, low compression has as much business being in a discussion for FI as does high octane fuel blends.

What the Renesis can do at moderate boost levels and very retarded timing is very impressive as compared to its predecessors. In many ways, this is absolutely a better engine than the REW. The only reason anyone is still discussing the REW so fondly on this forum are the limitations of slow development and the compression issue.

exactly why i said i didn't want to talk about it here. my opinions on lower compression have nothing to do with availability and everything to do with what i have stated in other threads.
