Miss Fire (Automatic 2004 Rx8)

hi, ive got a 2004 mazda rx8 automatic, and i was giving it some gas to get up to speed and fro second to third to took a really long time to shift, its like it laged, then the check engine light came on and now it has a miss fire, i got it fixed it cost me 500 bucks, and all they did was change the spark plugs and some wires of some sort, and a couple of days after the same thing happend the check engine light came back on, same miss fire, does anyone know what the hell is going on?

you need new ignition coils. The dealership just stole 500 dollars from you. Buy the coils online and install them yourself

+ 1 on that...(OEM)plugs,wires,coil,should be $250-300 and you and a buddy could put in takes about an hour. Go back and get the coils in for another 4 or 5 hundred. You could look in the DIY section and do yourself in about half an hour.

yes coils....that should be the first thing changed with a misfire....
