Low Temp Thermostat?

Is there any low (lower) temp thermostat available for RX8?

I know Mazmart has one that opens at 76deg C but it might not be low enough for my climate here in Far East Asia. I've bought it but haven't install it coz something troubled me. There are so many aftermarket thermostat for other performance car which opens at 68deg C. But just couldn't find any 68dec C thermostat for RX8.

There is 68deg C thermostat for RX7 and Miata, are they compatible for RX8?

I'm also curious if previous thermostats for the 13B will work in the Renesis.

no

Mainly because if the temperature is too low, it will might affect Fuel trim = CEL.

Rx-7/Mia works because - Rx-7 is older, not as strict emission

Miata - Different engine has different optimal operating temperature.

Mind you, a Thermostat will NOT fix any overheating problems.

if your car is already overheating, well, you need better radiator/coolant vs water ratio/Fan/mods/etc

^ Yep

The longer it take for the car to reach the correct operating temp. the harder the car works. Thus, your car uses more fuel while trying to achieve the correct temp.

I know in a lot of car (not sure bout the 8) the PCM will not communicate with the MAF, IAT until the car has reach the correct operating temps. Anyone know it the 8 works in the same fashion?

Are the 13B thermostats physically compatible? I'm asking particularly with regard to the possibility of Summer and Winter thermostats (I remember that one of the RX-7s had an option of a higher temperature thermostat as well, presumably for winter/cold weather use) or thermostat options for those who live in more extreme climates.

I do not think so.

Mazda has used the same thermostat opening temperatures since at least the Rx-2 (12A engine):

go with the Mazmart unit.
as has been mentioned, you don't actually want the temperatures to be TOO low.
