hey everyone

the other day i noticed that when I redlined 2nd and 3rd while getting on the freeway, my car was making the usual rotary noise, but just quite a bit louder than usual.. I think it was the usual noise at least.. I had the AC cranked up so I wonder if that would cause it to sound louder? My first reaction was that my dang engine was about to explode or something.. but it was still running fine and what not.. and later on I redlined it again without the AC and it didnt make the louder than usual noise.. I guess I should of checked it again with the AC on, but i didnt..''

anyone have any ideas?

 

At a certain RPM, as I recall it's 6K, when getting on it, the A/C compressor shuts down temporarily. Maybe that would change the sound coming from the engine compartment?

Or go marbles in a can, play sound clip.

It's normal. It it's a differenent sound let us know..

 

I get the marbles in a can noise.. but this deffinitely wasn't it.. it sounded normal, Just A LOT louder.. thats the best way I can explain it..

I'm sure it's nothing. I always have it in my head that somethign is wrong with my car ( i dont know why, I am crazy like that) so everytime i hear something, i freak out.. I swear i hear a new rattle or something every day.. oh wellll

 

When people say marbles in a can...is it marbles in a can being shaken? Or like if you just started twirling the can so the marbles went in a circle around the inside of the can?
