Loud 'bang' noise.

Im not sure if anyone on here has had this problem, but when i have people sitting in the back of my 8, and i go over the littlest bumps, you can hear a lot banging noise in the rear from the wheels, im just curious to what is making the noise?

Are the shocks bottoming out or is the tire hitting the wheel well?
Thanks.

Sounds like either a blown shock, or busted coil. Jack it up and check out the suspension.

I have this same issue, though I get it without people riding in back. The car seems to handle fine, though. Could the trunk lid be bouncing around? Did you ever figure this out?

Get under the car and check it out.

WE have weak rear shocks.

Maybe it's your trunk monkey reminding you to feed him

To my eye everything seems fine under there, but of course I am not a mechanic. I did have to replace a broken swaybar link a while ago, but that didn't seem to make a difference.

holy dead thread came back !

well, check the shock is pretty easy. just need to look. but our cars not so easy, cuz the top mount is "inside" and its impossible to look at it without taking it apart.

I loved the trunk monkey commercials! On a second note replace rear shocks with coil overs if you can afford it.

Sounds like your shocks are shot.
