So I lost the keys to our 2004 Auto and I have a 2004 Manual parts car.

I removed the ignition then took the ignition from the parts car and put that in.
Everything works besides the fact that it wont start and the theft light blinks.

I have tried it with both of the cars key code readers but they both do the same thing.

Is there anyway to get this to work or do I have to have the dealer make me some keys?

Yup...modules have to be registered..you can't just throw them in as you wish

 

yeah dealer it is.....must b programmed/registered with the vin number i believe....

 

and any new keys must be programmed as well

They were lost in my other cars seat
