Loosing coolant

My cooling fans aren't coming on like they should so I'm loosing coolant from time to tiime. I'll get home and there's a small puddle that will develop over night.

I've replace the blue cooling fan sensor that on the far right of the gauge panel. Could it be one of the two black ones that are right next to the blue one that I replaced?

If your coolant is puddling under your car overnight, you have a leak.

Now that we have the obvious out of the way, check all water lines, all fittings. Check the coolant bottle. Try removing the splash pan then hooking an old towel or something (not too thick) up under the car, off the ground. See in the morning where the coolant is hitting the towel to back-trace where it's coming from.

This could be anything from a cracked hose, punctured coolant bottle, leaking gasket, or cracked engine block (yes, it's happened).

You replaced the blue relay Check the black ones when you are looking for the leak

that's a relay ... not a sensor ...

the coolant temp sensor is located behind the water pump housing ...

and it's easy to see if your fan is working, at idle keep your rpm at around 2K rpm for 5-10 minutes. your coolant should be hot and fan supposed to come on. if it doesn't, then you have a problem. could be a dead fan motor (times 2, cuz there are 2)

It doesn't leal all of the time, thats why I'm pretty sure I don't have a leak but rather a cooling issue.

I can hear the fans kicking off and on, but they don't always come on. I have to pull one of the relays and re incert it to get them to come on.

Excuse me for asking, but are you filling up the overflow bottle all the way to the top or the indicated FULL line?

the fan always come on like that.

again, if the fan comes on at the right time, you use the right coolant mixture, and you didn't fill the bottle all the way to the top then you have nothing to worry about.

If you suspect either of your fans failing, you can test by turning your A/C on.

I think both fans should start when you turn on your A/C. If neither comes on, then my feeling is that you can safely hold the fan(s) or the circuit(s) driving them accountable.

With A/C on only one fan will come one, some times. Sometimes both.......
