Long block price

Hey everyone,

Sorry if this is the wrong section but I had a question. I'm currently looking to sell a rebuilt 13B-MSP, I'll list the specs below but it would include everything (long block).

Specs on engine when rebuilt:
Brand new springs for everything
Brand new OEM corner seals
Custom cut cryo treated side seals
Brand new apex seals also custom cut
RE Oil pressure regulator

The side irons, housings and rotors were not damaged and well within spec so they were reused.
It was not ported but the ports were cleaned up of carbon and other build up.

The engine was rebuilt due to carbon build up / low compression. This engine is currently sitting at 0 miles. Not broken in.

Thanks for the help everyone,
Jeremy

Two things:
One... What is your question?
And two... Can a rotary have a "short" and "long" block?

Sorry I put the question in the title and not in the post.

1) Whats the going price on them?
2) I believe so, I'm thinking of a rotary long block as everything from intake manifold to oil pan and all the accessories. It would also include the exhaust manifold.

short block means Engine only

long is it has all the accessories still attached to it.

Custom Cut side seals? How did you do that? I'm not saying it can't be done, cuz some people just grind it with weird methods.
Cyro treated? from which company?
Are you using OEM Apex or other ones? Why would you want to custom cut the apex if it's stock?
All other specs of the engine ? like the step wear, any score/marks on the rotor housing? etc

do you have prove for everything that you did ? pictures or whatever ?

I used a surface plate and sand paper to cut the side seals and a dial caliper and feeler gauges to check them.
Cryo treated from Atkins.
I used atkins rotary cryo treated apex seals, They didn't need much removed but they weren't to spec, I used the same method as above.
I don't have the step wear on the side irons handy and there was no scoring or marks on the rotor housings.

I do have proof of everything that was done, I have pictures of the process and receipts from all the products I purchased.

well, you should have no problem selling it for 2K something, but you might have to have a compression test # to show people what the engine is about.

Atkins apex, I don't really trust them, I rather use Groopy's seals than using Atkins. just not sure if Groopy makes 4mm MSP apex (haven't check on them for too long), I rather use stock.

If I was to redo it that would be the only thing I would change. I would have went with the goopy apex seals from turblown or NRS. I appreciate your help nycgps. I'll get all the pictures together soon and throw it up in the for sale section.

I also will be selling the 6 speed tranny, 70k miles on it, new throw out bearing. Any thoughts on that?

99% of the people cannot afford NRS seals.(1/2 of those can't even afford a proper rebuild) so don't even bother (I love it tho, in my FC engine :D)

u will not get much from the 6 speed tranny, every know it's made by glass, and at 70K, u be lucky if u can get even 500 bux out of it
