A little RX8 front end trivia...
For all those mechanically inclined, here is a little educational game -for me at least. I jacked up my car today to check on a few things I thought may have gone sour after a little Armadillo encounter....well, anyways, I started looking around and decided to take pictures of several things. Some of them I can't even remotely name or recognize them, some others I have a vague idea of what they are or what are they called. Anywho :o let's see who is the first one to list all of them correctly by name.
Here are the photos, each one of them with at least one component circled and numbered:
Edit: I am getting these fixed.....

BTW, the armadillo just managed to tore the undercarriage engine cover to pieces...I was worried about the O2 sensor and any of the other things which are exposed down there. I drove by the 'scene' later on today, and saw the poor old thing on the road...belly up.

First pic is the leading plug along with a seriously over-engineered engine ground..
The bottom of the pic has the oil level sensor.
Third pic...an Rx-8 on 5 armadillos?
I bet they work good for wheel chocks..

oh yeah the not numbered pic has a serious ground point but i didnt answer since nothing was circled. yeah that s what charles is talking about. the point of that is it helps chasis rigidity by locking the entire power train together. charles wants to make a lighter one.
