lateral acceleration sensor fault

My ABS module was out when I bought the car (ABS/DSC warning lights always on - module was throwing fault for RF speed sensor, even though sensor and wiring were good). I recently had ABS module rebuilt and ABS and DSC lights finally went out. However now after the car runs for a short time the DSC light comes on (next time I start car light will be off, then come on again after a little while). I scanned the fault and it is lateral acceleration sensor. I have done some searching and it sounds like there is an acceleration sensor under the rear cupholders. Can anyone confirm this is where lateral acceleration sensor is? This seems to be a rare failure. thanks

Yes thats where the yaw sensor is. It might be poorly connected rather than actually broken. Especially since you had thebABS module out. Check the connectors and wiring.
