Keyless remote

My keyless remote for my 04 rx8 stopped working a couple of months ago, I tried putting a new battery from another Keyless Remote, but it didnt work. Mazda wants to charge me 50 dollars to prob just put in a new bat..

what should I do. ??

search and you'll find out how to reprogram your key...

I searched how to reprogram the key, but I didnt know if I had to since all I was doing was replacing the battery, not the whole Key remote
