Key Security/ECM Over Ride To Start Engine?
Hi, I just installed everything under the hood in a 06 that had a fire...the new ECM and original key that came with the car aren't talkin...so it won't turn over...everything come on but won't start. So here's the problem...I can't even see if this new motor even fires..and I cant take it any where because it's not registered and the fire department managed to tearup the front bumper and both fenders from the original fire, so their no even on the car. All I want to do is see if it will run....does anyone have any ideas other then me calling a tow truck to take it to the dealer right now so they can give me some list from hell of what they think it needs plus charge me for programing.....I have a 90 day window on this motor from the salvage yard and would like to know it atleast runs.. tight budget and can't just keep dishing out cash.....Help?

You were told what was needed in your other thread - but you seem to want some quick-fix.
There ain't one.
You can't just put a new ECU and some random keys together to start the car for theft/repair/other, just believe us - you are not the first guy to put in a new computer and find yourself in this situation.
......and don't post in the DIY forum unless you have a DIY. Thanks.

Thanks for the info...guess there is no avoiding the dealer game...sucks to think I'll have to tow it there but even worse if it don't run and tow it back. Well if the put it on the scanner they can tell me any problems..Skylee
