Does your trunk open automatically, when you use the key fob?

Like this, but with the arms doing the work, not gears.

I figured mine may be bad since there's no slot to put my fingers in there to open it myself.

 

IIRC the hydraulic arms wont open the trunk entirely just from hitting the keyfob. but once you give it a lil finger-lift, it will open and hold
