So I have been doing a lot of reading on this forum about deflooding. So for my question, is it bad to just unplug the fuel pump? I have read that a couple people have done it but according to the DIY thread, it should be done a different way. Is it going to harm the engine by taking out the fuse or is it ok to deflood this way? As you may know my car is at the body shop after being t-boned. I went today to check up on it and the guy was telling me that they were having problems with it. I did explain to him that he can't just move the car and turn it off that it does have to be fully warmed up and then he proceeded to tell me that the car had flooded a COUPLE of times and the he got it started by unplugging the fuel pump. By this time I am irate hearing that he had to do this a COUPLE of times and I just kept yelling at him about why no one called me. Why no one followed the instructions I gave them when I dropped off the car? I got so mad that I was asked to leave and come back when the owner is there! So can any one tell me if this guy screwed me and I am going to have problems now?
