hey im kinda new here but im aware of the whole AT upgrades issue you cant really do much but i was wondering if i bought a cobb accessport what would that do for me , anything? would it increase horsepower is it worth the 700$..

Check out MazdaManiac's AccessPort thread. All 700 pages or w/e of it. You may even want to read it backwards, but don't forget page 1 if you do buy one.

To buy an AP for an AT from anyone other than Jeff is pointless.

There are a ton of gains to be had from it, none of which have anything to do with horsepower.

Will it increase horsepower? It CAN but that's not it's primary funciton for most of our cars.
It can help cooling by having the fans come on sooner
it can increase OMP flow to help lubricate the engine better

What kind of uprade issues are you referring to?

the amount of hp gained depends on how good the tune from the factory is for your car. ive heard of some people gaining ~15hp on an a/t but some have had much smaller gains. i only gained 2~3 more with a dyno tune from MM.

however the AP has many other great features like jedi mentioned. its generally worth buying imo.
