Yep............it's pretty simple really. One screw is a little tough to get to, also there is one small tab that you don't wanna break. Hang on a few and I'll see if there is a DIY on this, but you should go look in that DIY section as well.

Alright.....here ya go...pictures and everything!

https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...ide+marker+DIY

This is just one of a couple DIY's that I found using "side marker DIY" in trhe advanced search function.

You better start using that "Advanced search" function because you are gonna need it with mods and help on this car.

Mine reflectors are out too! I forgot all about that, but you have to be careful and patient taking those things out!

These aren't illegal in any states are they? I've been trying to find that out. From what i gather no since everyone has them. Unless you use some other color bulb correct? But if you leave the same bulb as the car came with you should be fine correct? Even with taking out the reflectors?

Yes, same here in Washington. Everybody has them and never heard of anybody got pulled over for having clear corners. lol

I have them and I change the bulbs every two months or something with different colors....haven't gotten pulled over for that..lol

I think cops care more about you not having front lis plate than having clear corners...atleast in WA......most cops probably think they're just OEMs

they are illegal because they don't have amber reflectors.

Huh? Put what back on?
Did you take them apart to get the reflector(s) out?
Everyone else was just kind reaching in there in various methods and getting them out.......without scratching of course.
Recommend you ask next time if you did take them apart.

Correct...technically it's not the clear corners at that point, it's that the bulbs are supposed to amber. In other words, you can have amber corners with white bulbs, or clear corners with amber bulbs and you are 100% legal. Of course most of use use the clear corners and white bulbs..............so by the letter of the law in most states, that ain't legal...........oh well!

all i did was take off the clear from the backing, i didnt crack it or anything it was easy, and i took out the reflector of it and painted white inside, after that i found that super glue was the best to bond, it seems good and it looks perfect

even if you have amber bulbs its still not legal. when your lights are off you must have an amber reflector in the front part of the side of a car.
