Could it be that those panels are there to keep the air filter in place? The suction from the engine, could make the filter flex toward the engine allowing air to go around the filter.
no way that our engine has that much suction power, it could not flex that air filter, and besides, the engine pulls in the air, and if the air flows right through the filter, there is no resistence, hence no pulling on the filter.
but im definitely geting the RB duct, its huge and has to help alot, i cant eveh see where the stock air inlet is.

oh, i will take that into note, i will get a large hose and some clamps, but does the stock grille work with the duct, because the top of the grille is closed off. i hate that.

The duct only uses the lower portion of the grill that is already open. The duct and the inlet to the airbox is an oval. I don't know that hose clamps will work on the plastic duct.
what qualifies as a "nosepicker"? i guess if having nothing else better to do, and always finding a cheaper alternative way to modify stock parts, then crh has announced it. its official, i'm a nosepicker... =(
I installed the Revi Duct on my car. There is a gap between the duct and the oem air box. I've yet to fab a tube to connect the two. The distance is only a couple of inches. I have some aluminum flashing that I bought for a different project. I will try using that to make the connector.

what do you think im gonna do, this weekend im gonna take everything out of the car that i dont like or need
yup, you should see the H-D plant in kansas city, 50% of the workers go weeks without showing up or saying as much as a word to where they were, and dont get fired, that is unbielevable. I would say the hardest worker in my area is the smallest woman here, but she has a heart of gold. Doesnt complain, gets her work done fast and good. if i ever wanted anyone to build me an engine, it would for sure be her. And one guy took off every friday for the rest of the year, but he complains on being low on hours, what the hell is that? They act like their job is so hard, yet they get paid $30+ an hour, thats damn good money.
oh, well i may or may not be in the market for them, i have to check mine, but im pretty sure im going to buy new wires and plugs soon. then maybe nitrous over christmas when im off for the week
