Illumincated Shift **** -- much brighter than all other lights
I just installed the illuminated shift ****, with the custom boot (black with red stitching -- thanks mark from polak graphics). I noticed that the illumination is quite a bit brighter than the rest of the red lights in the car. Has anyone done anything to correct this - it would be great to have this illuminate at the same intensity as the rest of the red lights.

what did the boot cost you? I'd like to replace my stock one just because it makes noises as I shift.
I agree with the resistor comment... lowering the power to the led will make it dimmer and shouldn't hurt it. If you can use a soldering iron, it'll cost you about $3 to do.

I believe the boot was around $45, well worth it. And using the forum here, it only took me about 40 minutes to replace the one there. Mark will need to know if you have the stock **** or the illuminated ****. Contact Mark at PolakGraphics: www.PolakGraphics.com; Mark87G@comcast.net.
