Can someone give me a link on where to buy lightning yellow paint , and instructions on how to sand, paint, and clear coat interior pieces? Thanks

 

I wouldn't do that. The interior of the 8 is nice as is. Interior pieces painted are not going to hold up they are going to get scratched, crack, and flake over time. Its just not a good idea which is why it is typically only done to cheap civics by young kids.

 

Actually alot of Vette guys do it with some very nice results.

Where to get paint ---> Automotivetouchup.com ... Use an adhesion promoter for the plastic bits, no sanding needed.

 

If you want it done right and to last go to a professional body shop to paint it. If your hard headed and want to do it yourself cause nobody can touch your precious 8 follow these directions.

1. Remove pieces and scuff them up lightly (don't sand hard!) with 200grit sandpaper.
2. Go to a autobody supplier and buy yourself some SEM high build primer.
3. Coat the piece lightly and let it dry to see where you scuffed unevenly.
4. Scuff uneven parts if needed.
5. Clean with mineral spirits and terry cloth (leaves no hairs).
6. Spray part 3 more times.
7. Sand with 400 grit LIGHTLY and clean.
8. Sand with 1000 grit LIGHTLY and clean.
9. By now your part will look like glass.
10. Go to professional body shop to spray it. DO NOT buy paint and do it yourself unless you can spray. and for god sakes don't go to maaco.
11. Tell the body shop your color code and to clear it twice or more depending on how shinny you want it.
12. Your parts will look absolutely amazing and hold up for a while unless you hit it.

This is the process I follow when I do all my customers custom fiberglassing.
