I don't get it my car has been to the dealer and I have never came back with my JDM YO VTEC NOS VINYL GRAPHICS AIR FILTER HOT AIR INTAKE TRYING TO BE A COLD AIR INTAKE MOD...maybe mazda is trying to sabotage my motor by not giving me this crazy good for your engine mod!

Opening the airbox when the engine is running is a "Very Bad Idea (TM)"
Any dealership that did this for you is hoping to destroy your engine so you'll have to pay for a new one, which wont be covered under warranty because you've done something sadistic to the car, running it without proper air filtration.
A car engine is going to move a lot more air then a vacuum cleaner, so anything that gets near your intake is going to be sucked in and rubbed all over your apex seals and rotor housings before being blasted into the cat causing loss of compression.

hey guys i was recently talking to a mate who works at Mazda here in Australia and it turns out you can easliy make your RX8 sound like the MS CAI in seconds!!! simply just unclip your stock air box and rest the hinges on the panel filter so there is about a 2 cm gap between the opening.. in simple terms the airbox is basicly open by 2cm therefore sucking in more and and sounding awesome!!!

God forbid someone actually listens to you and does this insane "mod". Why not just take the filter out completely man? According to your retarded theory of more air=more power. You're method will let , let's say 5% of whatever is in the air, into your engine. Well, that 5% is a metric $#!T ton of baddies.

when they drained my oil and coolant and drove it around the block to get some fresh air into the system to clean it up...
