How to make your stock air box sound like MS CAI
On further review I think he is saying to wedge the filter against the edge of the front box holding the filter in place in the back side of the rear box.
A whole lot of heat, possible mass dirt entry, and a total RICE, half assed way to make lots of noise.

if you want more sound, port your engine using the methods described here:

I made my own intake for $40 using PVC. It had one head. I felt I lost power rather then gained and my engine would kinda flutter for air. So I made a two headed intake. No more Fluttering allot more sound and feel better then the one head. Check it out. Its slanted, I am going to fix it so its stright. Im saving up to go turbo this is just temp.
Heads $25 each
PVC $10

is this kid for real? i should make a "how to make your stock exhaust sound like a race exhaust" thread...punch some ******* holes in it. Gozza, where do you live? i'm gonna come to your house and beat some ******* sense into you because your parents failed at that.

hey guys i was recently talking to a mate who works at Mazda here in Australia and it turns out you can easliy make your RX8 sound like the MS CAI in seconds!!! simply just unclip your stock air box and rest the hinges on the panel filter so there is about a 2 cm gap between the opening.. in simple terms the airbox is basicly open by 2cm therefore sucking in more and and sounding awesome!!!
