Lets just say the max number that has been put down on an rx8 so far has been 340 ish hp due to there being no ignition upgrades for the car yet.
porting doesn't add major power.

With just exhaust and intake thats about 20-30 horses. Making the stock 238hp just up 258-268hp. So let's say 250 to be on the safe side. My car performs like it only has 210hp for some reason. Long story I can tell you later. How do we make the car faster?
(QUESTION MARKS MEANS IM NOT SURE )
1.) Install a Performance Chip to get dialed in (40hp?) ECU??
2.) 650cc injectors; (xxHP?) what does xxHP equal to? Anyone know? Does it give any HP?
3.) A full open throttle supercharger on the air intake for (10-20hp) is that thing work it at all?? http://www.yourhotcar.com/prod/Super...Stage_2/548722 ?? worth it at all?
4.) 150 shot of NOS (150hp?)
5.) Highflow cats (10hp?)
6.) MSD electric parts for ignition, timing, stronger better sparks on the race plugs, Ignition wires etc. (yyHP)
7.) Underpully kit Wide Grip Belts and Power Pully(15hp?)
8.) Relocate strong battery and capacitor system for good solid electrical stability maybe a race harness? Maybe upgrade the alternator so I can squeeze more juice that may be needed into the batteries and capacitors as needed.
So base is 250hp + 225hp from the items above + xxhp +yyhp. So if the xx + yy didn't add any hp that comes to around 475hp. Is that right? Would that snap the tranny? Anyone running 475hp that can talk about their exp with it?
The only other things I can think of to do is Race or Street port the engine for 100-150hp then throw a simple turbo in there such as a 8lbs. greddy for another 80hp. Even if you played it safe and did a 5lbs greddy with the porting, thats 200 hp more on teh 475hp from above coming to 675hp or there abouts? Is that correct? How fast would that make the RX-8's quarter mile and top speed?

In case you're being serious...
Your car will make around 180 hp to the wheels. Car companies rate power at the crank (engine). There's always drive train loss to factor in.
The car is tuned really well from the factory, you might be able to get 15 hp or so though from leaning out the fuel.
the car runs too rich in open loop already. Adding more fuel will make it slower. You want less fuel to gain power.
You aren't going to get anywhere close to 475. Even with all the mods available for the RX-8.
Right now 330ish whp is the peak, and that's with a nice turbocharged setup. Once ignition is worked out, we will see stuff almost to 400. Above that is unknown.

Lol performance chip? Btw when things come down to automotive its not just simple X+Y=Z rofl. Please please please learn what you're talking about first before you make yourself the laughing stock of the rx8 community. But i guess its too late for that isnt it?

subaru's would have turbo H-6 and nissan would be developing their V-8 for their 450Z to come out in 2009. only to have them beat again when the 16X comes out and a cat-back exhaust would yield 60whp, then its back to the drawing boards again for nissan and subaru.
auto news: the GT500kr killer. a 500hp 2 liter rotary to be released for 2010.

Obviously you are a glass is half full type of person, nothing wrong with that.
