How to get louder neeee/zeeee noise?
Some drivers in the vicinity of my vehicle are unable to accurately judge where I am located in time/space; this is during instances where I am accelerating hard, and that is all the time. Part of the reason is because, I think, the RX8 is too quiet. Therefore, I would like to provide surrounding vehicles good audible information as to my whereabouts so that they do not hit me, should I be in their blind spot.
It needs to be loud enough to be heard by other drivers on the freeway when I step on the gas. Problem is, all of the exhaust packages are for people who want a deeper grunt, which I don't think would be very effective on the freeway with the droning road noise and all. I have watched some racing clips of 3 and 4 rotor engines, and I think something like that would be more ideal. Neeeee... zeeeeeeee.... Would like that kind of noise, and have it be loud enough. Any suitable modifications?

There's no way you can sound like a 3 rotor if you don't have 3 rotors. Deep grunts/tones from exhaust aftermarket parts is the only thing you can get at this point.

Not bashing, just sharing my opinion :
1st : I think its everyones duty to NOT cruise in someones blind spot. If you are passing traffic, get in the left lane, if you are cruising with trafic get in the right lane. Simple. It wont stop ever jack and jill from cutting you off, but it will help.
2nd : Because of the way sound travles, at highway speeds, most people wont notice a loud car coming up behind them....just hear you as you move past them. Also this doesnt take into account people loud radios and such.
I think it would be neat to have the rotary sound, only LOUDER, but it wont do much else. This sounds like the whole 'loud pipes save lifes' harley thing, I dont agree with it.
The biggest reason people pull out in front of you as your accelerating down a road is :
The human brain is setup to look for movement and then judge speed. Thing of what it looks like when a dog or person is running to you...you see the body move, it changes shape...very easy to tell how fast its going, and estimate when it will get to you. Then thing of a car coming straight at you. It doesnt change shape, its constand, just gets bigger, much harder to judge. Muliply that by the fact that most drivers are already going thru sensory over load : Cell phone, radio, 3 differnt mirror, other cars, ect. They check the lane they want to get into, and then check the other thing and by the time they actual move into the lane (the one they just check) it was clear 4 secs ago, but in that time you have covered 500 feet at 75 mph, and are now right behind them.
Thats my input.

I had sorta your concern in the sense that I wanted a louder exhaust but not a drone. I wanted to hear the engine better for more intuitive shift points and not-trying-to-start-the-car-when-its-already-running purposes.
I had a 2.50'', 14''-long Magnaflow conventional oval preforated-pipe muffler installed in place of the ridiculous OE 2.38'', 30''-long muffler. WAY too loud over 3000. Like ricer APEX coffee-can-muffler-on-a-D15-honda loud. Cruising at 90 (all the time) at 4500 rpms it is very loud, but retarded left-lane-only drivers still do not get out of my way. Repeated burns with the xenons helps once in a blue moon.
I'd go to your local performance exhaust fabrication shop and ask to have a 20'' conventional muffler installed. Jason Isley said his 20'' Borla does not drone. Fast Mike (does that guy have a last name???) installed a small, light, bullet-type, and he said it's not loud. Either way, both should give you an auditory increase without going overboard (like me).
