How do I verify the M flash is installed?
Guys, just about to buy my RX8, how can I tell if the M flash is installed?

i read it... sorry guys... i still don't quit get it... is it has to do soemthing with the "chip" wut does it do?!
sorry for being a noob.... i read that thread over and over.. just dont' quit get it...

Mazda's original ECU ("Engine Control Unit," the car's computer that controls everything from the air/fuel ratios to most of the electrical systems) map was pretty badly mistuned. Long story as to why, but the end result is that Mazda has released a series of "reflash" bulletins for the PCM (also called the ECU) to fix the bad programming. The "M" flash is the latest and greatest map, and adds power, increases economy, and helps to keep the car from flooding.

If the dealer can do the M-Flash to your car, can you take ur car somewhere else and have the computer flashed to run even better?

Yes, it's called Can Zoomers. They can. See below in vendor's section.
