hmmmm - plugs

My 8 threw a flashing CEL (15 seconds) last week while driving on the freeway. Didn't run any differently before or after the CEL
I took it in to a dealership the next day :

praise the Lord for warranty...would have cost over $350

could they have gone bad that fast ? there was a month of time between the 2 dealership visits. One is in NorCal, one in SoCal

ON YOUR 1ST ATTACHMENT IT SAYS 5 PLUGS I THOUGHT WE ONLY HAD 4 ??

They may have changed the catalictyc converter sensor plug and called it a spark plug .??

All these threads about our plugs are worrying me, why are the plugs failing or found to be VERY dirty with such low miles???

I'm glad it happened before my 50k warranty is up.
I think the plug issues are from cars that had the earlier PCM flashes....
