Hi.

Who did the motor work? You or a shop?

Did you have the steering wheel off? Any wiring harnesses touched other than at the engine? Anything touched under the dash?

Please be as complete as possible - there are some very knowledgeable folks here - give them as much info as you can.

hey Robert, i think you might have a clockspring issue in the steering wheel, and if thats the case, you might have grounded out a circuit in the steering wheel. You could try replacing the clockspring or the airbag and check. I have both parts to let you try

i did the work myself... i asked alot of questions during the process i think i became known around the forum site during that process haha... i never had the actual steering wheel off and same with the dash but i did have the steering rod inside the engine bay disconnected... thats about it.. didnt touch any wiring or anything that should have effect the electronics of the steering wheel

The only common thing for airbag, audio controls and horn is they all go through the 'clock spring' in the hub of the steering wheel.

How it would get damaged in an engine replacement, I don't know, but someone may have removed your drivers-side airbag......
