The numbers a bit hard to see but this may help if you have good eyes.

thanks , what about the length of the h11 hid bulb ?
im wanting to replace my h11's in the foglights with hids.

i read some where on the forums that you would need to remove the reflector, i dont want to do that so im trying to find out the lengths.

If you do this, make certain that you replace the whole reflector housing. Otherwise, you'll be a hazard to yourself in foggy conditions and a hazard to the rest of the world any other time you use your fogs.

Reflector housings aren't meant t house HID's; you need an appropriate projector setup for that.

Here's a good demonstration:

Notice how the camera has to adjust exposure value when he looks at the HID in reflector housing? Human eyes do this too, only much, much slower. In the mean time, you're effectively blind (just play with your night vision for a while to see).

Yea without the proper projector the light just scatters everywhere and you will be a danger to oncoming drivers. If you have ever been driving and seen a car with the whole headlight lit up and the light is making it hard for you to see then chances are it is not in a HID projector. Although even some oem bmw/mercedes systems I have seen blind the hell out of me too.

why do you need to know the exact sizes of both bulbs? If they are size h11 I imagine they should be the same size since they would be made to replace that part.

i wanted to know the lengths of the bulbs because i read in one of the threads here on this forum that the hid bulb is possibly longer , which would require removal of foglight reflector .

@xexok and notapreppie so i would need to replace my current foglights with projector ones to properly use hids? where would i be able to get such foglights or parts to make this work?

You do not absolutely have to have HID projectors, it is just safer and nicer to do so. You will also get more light on the road ahead of you where you need it with a projector.

These will give you a general idea, but it is custom work you would have to do.
