Hi guys,
Had my RX8 now for a year and been having problems constantly, it's a 54 reg with 40,000 on the clock, first was the coil packs that Mazda set me back £500+ to change,
Now however I am having serious difficulty figuring out a problem with the steering...
In the normal standard position of the steering wheel (wheels straight forward) the steering feels like it does normally, light and smooth, however once turning at the quarter turn in both directions the steering becomes very stiff, but past this point it goes back to normal. This happens both when stationary and when driving and at every quarter turn.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated

translation- a 54 reg is registered somewhen between Sept 04 and end of Feb 05 so its a late 2004 MY car

 

^^what he said. Just weld the connector and you're good to go.
Too bad that you spent 500£ for the coils as well... set of stock coils doesn't cost more than 200£ in the Uk
